Working small is a simple, fast and creative way to carve out a daily art practice. I've learned that creating small gives me the opportunity to finish a surface, explore an idea or technique and create composition in a short amount of time.

Drawing and sketching has been with me my whole life — a faithful companion that has challenged me, comforted me, and brought me joy.

In this class we will be working through 1 lesson a day for 30 days with techniques, prompts and exercises to get you working on your drawing and sketching skills on small surfaces. We will be exploring abstraction, gesture drawing, expressive drawing, pulling inspiration from your everyday life and more! I will be sharing a variety of simple techniques and prompts that will get you comfortable and set you free to start a sketching routine.

Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this course will help you develop the skills, confidence and inspiration to get creative sketching small!
