The Homebody Journal - 30-Day Online Art Journaling Class

One of the most important things I've learned from years of making art is that creativity doesn't require travel to far-away places, a fancy studio, lots of money, or expensive supplies. Inspiration exists all around us — in our everyday lives, our homes, our yards, and the simple rhythms of our days.

In this 30-day online art journaling class, I'll share my favorite ways to use your home and everyday surroundings as fuel for creativity. My hope is to show you that there is always a world of possibility when it comes to art — no matter where you are.

We'll use an art journal to explore all kinds of prompts, mixed media techniques, and exercises, working through one lesson a day for 30 days. We'll explore color inspired by your surroundings, expressive still life drawing, pattern and texture found around your home, photo prompts, collage pages, using cracks in the sidewalk as inspiration for line drawings, doodles based on your daily routine, abstraction, illustration, and so much more.

My hope is to inspire you to find everyday art inspiration right where you are!
