Heart in Hand - Mixed Media Wall Art Class

Join me as we transform everyday household items into heart-in-hand wall hangings that are layered with meaning and care. Using cardboard, paper, foil, glue, and paint, we’ll build textured hand forms that cradle a heart, then bring them to life with color, symbols, and simple embellishments.

Through 10 video lessons, we’ll explore the process step by step — starting with sketching and ideas, then moving into building, painting, and finishing our mixed media wall art pieces. I’ll share multiple themed examples along the way, from florals to whimsical designs to a classic Valentine-inspired heart in hand, showing how one simple process can lead to many different outcomes.
