Inspired by the timeless charm of Beatrix Potter, childhood storybooks, and the magic of creating imaginative worlds on paper, this one-day Zoom retreat is all about bringing whimsical animal characters to life using watercolor, pen, pencil, and your imagination.

Throughout the day, Alisa will share simple ways to sketch a variety of animals and transform them into expressive characters full of personality, charm, and story.

This class is not about perfect drawing or polished illustration. It’s about storytelling, whimsy, and creating freely without overthinking. Together, we’ll explore how small details, loose lines, expressive marks, and imagination can transform a simple animal sketch into a character that feels alive.

We’ll play with:
