The Animal Journal - 30-Day Online Animal Drawing & Art Journal Class

Join me for 30 days of creative prompts inspired by the animal kingdom! In this online animal drawing class, we'll use drawing, painting, and a variety of mixed media techniques to explore all kinds of animals and creatures. Through video, photos, and daily prompts, we'll use our art journals as a place to document, play, and experiment with animal themes.

From elephants to chickens to bears and more — I'll be sharing 30 creative techniques, prompts, and exercises to get you connected and inspired by all creatures great and small. This wildlife art class is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike who love nature, animals, and mixed media painting.

Supplies

I don't typically have an official supply list for my classes because I share a variety of concepts that can be applied to many different materials. In this class you'll see me working with the supplies below, but most techniques can be applied to just about anything!

• An art journal — any sketchbook or mixed media art journal will work. I'll be creating in a composition notebook, a mixed media paper journal, and loose watercolor paper.
• Loose paper — watercolor paper or bristol paper
• Watercolor paint — any will work
• Acrylic paint — any will work; I recommend matte acrylic when working in an art journal
• Any types of brushes
• Favorite pens and markers

• This class is structured into 30 inspiring posts — one simple idea, prompt, or technique to work through each day for 30 days.
• Once all 30 days have been posted, you have unlimited access to come and go as you please for as long as you like.
• Basic computer skills are needed.
• There will be lots of photos, step-by-step visuals, downloads, and video lessons filmed in my studio.
• A high-speed internet connection is definitely recommended.
• Supplies needed are very simple, inexpensive art and craft items — I strongly believe creating art should not cost a lot of money!
